Embracing Change and Overcoming Imposter Syndrome

Hey all,

It's been a while since my last newsletter, and I want to start by saying how much I've missed connecting with you all. I took a break because I was dealing with imposter syndrome and felt unfit to be giving advice. But I realize now that so many of us struggle with this feeling, and it's something I'm constantly working to overcome. So, here I am, back and ready to share more with you.

Content Update

I've done a deep dive and realized that my content needed a refresh. I was scratching the surface before, but now I want to dive deeper. Here's how I'm revamping my personal brand:

The 3 Pillars of Content

  1. How to Become an Entrepreneur: Starting a company is life-changing, and I want to help more people experience this journey.

  2. Lifestyle Design: I'm on a mission to improve my life and be happier and healthier. I'll be sharing everything I'm learning along the way.

  3. Sourcing: I'm really good at sourcing great products from great factories, and I want to share this expertise with you.

Why the Change?

  • Entrepreneurship: There's nothing like starting a business and watching it grow. It's my passion, and I want to inspire you to take the plunge.

  • Lifestyle Design: Every day is a chance to be better, and I'm committed to sharing my journey towards happiness and health.

  • Sourcing: It's a unique skill I have, and it’s how I continue to help brands succeed. I want to pass this knowledge on to you.

Lessons Learned

I've realized a few things during my time away:

  • Everyone Fails: It's part of the process, and there's value in every mistake.

  • Forward Thinking: I'm not the best storyteller, but I'm an excellent researcher. I prefer looking ahead and focusing on what's next.

  • Perfectionism can be a Superpower: I see the glass as half empty, which drives me to relentlessly improve. Nothing is ever perfect, and that's okay, but chasing perfection can lead to great products.

  • Self-Motivation: Casting yourself as a victim won't get you anywhere. Be your own motivator. You have the ability to write your own story.

  • Value in Mistakes: Over the past 10 years, we've made countless mistakes as a company. I want to share these lessons so you don't have to make the same ones.

My Lifestyle Design Journey

Here are the areas I'm focusing on to improve my life. I plan to work through what I am researching and how I am making changes on a weekly basis. You can’t be a good founder if you don’t take care of yourself first. I
